Weekly Threat Advisory: The Infostealer Week — 3 Credential-Stealing Families Lead (One Targets macOS), Phishing Doubles, Ransomware Collapses 83% (Oct 26 – Nov 1, 2026)

The infostealer week. Three credential-stealing families produced 2,946 Spyware-category IOCs — the dominant category — and one is a macOS-native stealer targeting the Apple Keychain, browser cookies and wallet files. Session-cookie theft and browser-credential theft were two of the week’s top-five MITRE techniques (stolen cookies bypass MFA). Phishing-kit output doubled week-over-week (+107%, 846 → 1,754 IOCs). A crypto-drainer sub-theme ran underneath (wallet-brand lookalike extensions + a prediction-market supply-chain script). Ransomware collapsed 83% (211 → 36 IOCs) — a leading-indicator lull, not an all-clear. 8,320 attributed IOCs. 72 named adversaries. 29 distinct MITRE TTPs. Full CISO briefing with 4 Sigma rules (incl. macOS Keychain + wallet-lookalike detection), top IOCs and risk-register wording.
